This part-time position involves supporting research and development in the field of drone mechatronics, focusing on UAV systems and related technologies. The role is designed for students enrolled in relevant engineering programs, providing hands-on experience in a collaborative research environment.

Qualifications

  • Enrollment as a student in a relevant engineering program.
  • Familiarity with drone software ecosystems such as PX4 and ArduPilot.
  • Basic experience with microcontrollers and embedded systems programming.
  • Strong foundation in mechatronics engineering, including control systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of UAV systems and subsystems, including docking stations and sensor integration.
  • Support experimental design, setup, data acquisition, and validation of mechatronic systems in various environments.
  • Contribute to the design and improvement of UAV models and sensor integration processes.

Skills

  • Experience with rapid prototyping, CAD modeling, and additive manufacturing.
  • Practical lab experience in testing and iterative development of experimental systems.
  • Ability to work across disciplines and integrate various components into functional systems.

Education

  • Must be enrolled as a student at a recognized engineering institution.

Tools

  • Familiarity with CAD software and UAV development tools.
