The role of Strategic Sourcing Project Manager involves leading strategic sourcing projects within elastomers, focusing on optimizing the supplier base and managing significant annual spending. The position emphasizes supporting a Superior Customer Experience Program by ensuring reliable deliveries while maintaining sustainability, safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of experience in strategic procurement or sourcing, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Proven track record in leading sourcing or cross-functional projects with measurable outcomes.
  • Experience in supplier management and development, with a focus on optimizing supplier bases.
  • Proficiency in PPAP and Lean Six Sigma methodologies to drive improvements.
  • Strong communication skills in English; Danish is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic sourcing projects for over 500 parts, developing and implementing preferred supplier strategies.
  • Optimize supplier base considering cost, quality, delivery, safety, sustainability, and compliance.
  • Ensure continuity and reliability of supply for production and distribution operations.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, driving continuous improvement and performance.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Product Management, Production, and other stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with business needs.
  • Analyze spend, supplier performance, and market data to identify opportunities for fact-based decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance of sourcing activities with relevant legislation and company policies.
  • Drive initiatives to strengthen the supply chain and enhance overall customer experience.

Education

  • Relevant degree in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
