Strategic Buyer (Manufacturing, Søborg)

Job summary

This role involves contributing to the strategic procurement function within a newly established team focused on transforming procurement into a strategic business partner. The position is based in Søborg and requires collaboration with various stakeholders and suppliers in the mechanical category.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field.
• Over 10 years of experience in strategic procurement.
• Strong negotiation skills with experience in complex commercial negotiations.
• Familiarity with contract and framework agreement management.
• Solid analytical skills, including cost and market analysis.
• Experience in complex, international organizations.
• Knowledge of procurement systems such as SAP Ariba and SAP CP.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement category strategies for the mechanical category at the Søborg site.
• Manage supplier relationships and serve as the primary commercial contact for assigned suppliers.
• Drive supplier development initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
• Conduct RFx processes, negotiations, and supplier selection in line with business strategies.
• Support project procurement during pre-sales and execution phases.
• Monitor supplier performance regarding quality, delivery, capacity, sustainability, and commercial metrics.
• Lead supplier review meetings and maintain development roadmaps.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across engineering, operations, supply chain, and global procurement.
