The Spot Trade Sales Specialist plays a key role in driving revenue within the secondary IT hardware sector, focusing on fast-paced and margin-driven transactions. This position requires sourcing opportunities, negotiating competitive deals, and closing profitable trades while leveraging existing networks and market expertise.

Qualifications

  • Proven network with active relationships on both buy and sell sides
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in ITAD brokerage or secondary IT hardware sales
  • Track record of achieving strong annual gross margins
  • In-depth technical knowledge of enterprise IT hardware and component pricing

Responsibilities

  • Source IT hardware for resale through established networks
  • Negotiate buy-side pricing for various IT hardware components
  • Match inventory with qualified global buyers
  • Maximize sales margins through effective negotiation and relationship management
  • Manage and forecast sales pipeline within CRM systems
  • Coordinate with logistics and compliance teams for deal execution
  • Handle customer relationships, including post-sale support
  • Monitor market trends and pricing for technology hardware products

Skills

  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to walk away from low-margin deals
  • Knowledge of ITAD processes and data destruction standards
  • Familiarity with CRM tools, such as HubSpot
  • Understanding of OEM/channel restrictions affecting resale value

Education

  • Relevant experience in ITAD or secondary IT hardware sales is essential.
