Job summary

The Specialist in Merchandise Planning will focus on driving demand-led buying for the Australia and New Zealand markets. This role involves generating accurate sell-out demand signals and translating them into effective buying decisions, contributing to the company's commercial success. The position is based in Copenhagen and requires a blend of analytical skills and commercial insight to support assortment strategy and performance maximization.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience in demand planning, buying, or allocation
  • Background in the retail or fashion industry
  • Strong knowledge of statistical forecasting and analytical methods
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field (specialization in merchandising, buying, retail, or fashion is a plus)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with planning software is advantageous
  • Fluent in English

Responsibilities

  • Maintain sell-out forecasts (value and units) at SKU level to guide production and supply planning
  • Conduct weekly product performance analyses to support accurate forecasting decisions
  • Utilize statistical forecasting models based on demand patterns and industry trends
  • Identify forecast risks and suggest mitigation actions to enhance accuracy
  • Implement cluster buying strategy in line with global assortment guidelines
  • Support forecasts for new product launches by determining launch volumes with Merchant colleagues
  • Participate in market Q-GBRs to inform forecasts for collections and key markets
  • Assist in Range Framework initiatives and manage tools for Inventory and Allocation teams
  • Drive process improvement and standardization by proposing and coordinating enhancements across stakeholders

Education

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with planning software is a plus
