Software Quality Manager (Remote, Global Operations)

Job summary

The Software Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of video and audio products throughout their lifecycle. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to implement quality assurance processes, identify quality issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
• Experience in software quality management, software testing, or software development for embedded, real-time, or communication systems
• Extensive knowledge of software test strategy, design, and methods (both functional and non-functional)
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and continuous testing practices
• Experience with agile development methodologies
• Strong analytical skills to assess complex data and defect patterns
• Excellent communication skills for presenting quality and risk topics to diverse stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain software quality acceptance criteria in collaboration with Product Management and Development teams
• Review test plans and cases to ensure an efficient, risk-based testing approach
• Monitor software quality metrics to identify risks and areas for improvement
• Prepare quality status and risk reports for management, including readiness assessments and go/no-go recommendations
• Collaborate with teams to integrate quality from design through to post-release support
• Conduct root cause analysis for significant software defects
• Enhance software quality frameworks and support Beta testing initiatives
• Integrate lessons learned into acceptance criteria and testing methods

Education

• Master’s degree in a relevant technical field
