Job summary

This role involves managing the technical operations of assigned vessels, ensuring their performance, maintenance, and compliance with industry standards. The position is based in Copenhagen and requires close collaboration with onboard crews and office staff to maintain operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Marine Engineer or Dual Officer with strong academic performance.
• Marine engineering experience, preferably in the tanker sector.
• Naval Architect with relevant experience.
• In-depth knowledge of safety, quality, and vetting processes.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
• Strong customer focus and effective communication skills with technical and commercial teams.
• Proficient in English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the performance, condition, maintenance, and repairs of assigned vessels within budget constraints.
• Conduct inspections and manage dockings and major overhauls.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal safety protocols.
• Review safety and emergency equipment, verify certifications, and maintain documentation.
• Promote a safety culture within the organization.
• Manage technical maintenance, inspections, surveys, and repairs.
• Collaborate with the purchasing department for spare parts procurement.
• Ensure daily operations adhere to legislation and budgetary guidelines.
• Develop into a comprehensive management role for assigned vessels.
