Job summary

This position involves maintaining critical infrastructure in data centers, requiring shift work that includes both day and night shifts. The role includes monitoring equipment performance, responding to incidents, and performing maintenance tasks to ensure operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent with experience in mission-critical services or related fields.
  • Ability to pass security screening requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Act as an operations specialist in a specific area of critical environment operations (e.g., electrical, mechanical).
  • Regularly inspect facility equipment and escalate any unsafe conditions.
  • Utilize a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking equipment and maintenance requests.
  • Lead onsite incident response teams for abnormal conditions impacting operations.
  • Develop and follow emergency operating procedures and standard operating procedures.
  • Perform various maintenance tasks independently with minimal oversight.
  • Provide consultation to junior colleagues in troubleshooting.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and security requirements.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of critical environment equipment and systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot independently within trained disciplines.
  • Good written and spoken English communication skills.

Education

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent; technical trade certification or higher education preferred.

Tools

  • Computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and other telemetry platforms.
