Job summary

This position involves managing the physical infrastructure foundation, including datacentres and server fleets, with a focus on procurement, capacity planning, and budgeting. The role emphasizes modernizing and scaling infrastructure for better performance and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Over 8 years of hands-on experience with datacentre and server infrastructure.
• Strong background in hardware platforms, server builds, and lifecycle management.
• Proven experience in capacity planning for compute, power, and space.
• Solid understanding of procurement processes, budgeting, and vendor management.
• Experience in operating physical and virtual infrastructure at an enterprise scale.
• Proficiency in PowerShell and familiarity with tools like Git, VS Code, and Azure DevOps Pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee datacentres and physical server fleet.
• Drive hardware procurement, including vendor negotiations and lifecycle management.
• Plan and manage annual renewals and project budgets.
• Conduct capacity management for server compute, power, and cooling.
• Design and build server platforms following industry best practices.
• Collaborate with architects to create production-ready solutions.
• Provide 2nd and 3rd line support for infrastructure incidents and changes.
• Support enterprise platforms focusing on scalability and reliability.
