Product Quality Specialist (Remote, Engineering)

Job summary

A detail-oriented Product Quality Specialist is needed to ensure product quality and user satisfaction within an Engineering team. The role emphasizes an AI-first quality process, utilizing AI-assisted tools for testing and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in quality assurance, product testing, or a related client-facing role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear reporting of findings.
• Experience in conducting release walkthroughs or leading stakeholder demonstrations.
• Strong QA instincts with a focus on user experience.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools such as Testim, Applitools, or Playwright-based frameworks is advantageous.
• Background in a SaaS, startup, or product-led environment is beneficial.
• Knowledge of observability tools like Sentry or Datadog is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end testing for all product features, including functional, exploratory, and regression testing.
• Utilize AI-assisted testing tools to create test cases, identify regressions, and expedite issue detection.
• Engage in planning and requirements discussions to address quality concerns prior to development.
• Document bugs with detailed reproduction steps and context for engineers.
• Collaborate with engineers to verify fixes and ensure quality standards are met before product release.
• Develop and maintain test checklists, regression documentation, and quality benchmarks for the team.
• Conduct release demos for stakeholders, providing comprehensive overviews of developed, tested, and shipped features.
• Prepare release summaries and feature walkthroughs for each delivery cycle.
• Facilitate transparent communication between engineering and the broader organization.

Education

• Relevant educational background in a related field is preferred.

Tools

• Experience with AI-assisted testing tools, observability tools, and standard QA software is beneficial.
