Senior Trade Compliance Officer (MedTech, South Europe & LatAm)

Job summary

This role involves leading the Global Trade Compliance program within a multinational MedTech organization, focusing on compliance with Export Control and Sanctions laws. The position requires a strategic and hands-on approach to ensure effective risk management and compliance processes across global operations.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in global trade compliance, particularly with EU and US Sanctions and Export Control Regulations.
• Proven expertise in handling High Risk Sanctions Regulations and Financial Sanctions.
• Strong understanding of risk-based compliance frameworks and due diligence methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) or similar systems.
• Experience in the MedTech industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Global Trade Compliance program, ensuring adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
• Serve as the global Subject Matter Expert (SME) for trade compliance, advising various stakeholders on complex cases.
• Develop and maintain a risk-based compliance framework, including risk assessments and control models.
• Monitor regulatory changes and implement necessary policy updates.
• Report trade compliance risks to senior management with risk analysis and mitigation strategies.
• Lead the design and improvement of compliance processes for scalability and integration.
• Manage the SAP Global Trade Services system, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.
• Optimize systems and controls to enhance automation and compliance effectiveness.
