Commercial & Contracts Advisor (EPC)

Job summary

This role involves acting as a Contract Advisor on Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects, providing support in procurement, contract management, claims management, and dispute resolution. The position requires delivering commercial and contractual guidance throughout the project lifecycle to ensure effective contract administration and management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Law.
• Experience in contract management, legal, or commercial roles, preferably within a matrix organization.
• Background in offshore wind, renewable energy, or major infrastructure projects.
• Experience in managing, drafting, or negotiating key project contracts.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective negotiation.
• Methodical approach with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage processes independently and lead negotiations with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project management to ensure successful project delivery while balancing contractual risks.
• Maintain oversight of contractual milestones and ensure compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead project changes, variations, and claims to protect client interests.
• Interpret contractual terms and prepare project correspondence while monitoring performance.
• Manage commercial relationships with contractors and maintain proactive communication.
• Ensure timely delivery of contractual responsibilities within defined mandates.
• Lead governance processes and prepare materials for stakeholders, including Steering Committees.
• Contribute to the improvement of contract management processes and governance structures.
