Senior Specialist, Sustainability (Copenhagen)

Job summary

The Senior Specialist in Sustainability will play a pivotal role in integrating sustainability into procurement activities at the organization’s Copenhagen headquarters. This position focuses on driving decarbonization, responsible sourcing, and supplier engagement to enhance sustainability across the supply chain.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in sustainability, preferably in a global or cross-functional setting.
• Strong understanding of sustainability topics, including climate change, decarbonization, circularity, and human rights, particularly in supply chains.
• Experience in procurement, operations, and supplier management.
• Ability to collaborate across functions and engage senior stakeholders.
• Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Innovative mindset with strong analytical and data-handling capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Act as the sustainability focal point for Global Procurement Category Management teams.
• Embed sustainability into category strategies and decision-making processes.
• Partner with Category Directors to integrate sustainability into sourcing processes and support tender processes.
• Own and execute decarbonization roadmaps and lead supplier dialogues for emission reduction initiatives.
• Support supplier audit programs and drive improvements in compliance related to transparency and human rights.
• Contribute to capability-building initiatives to enhance sustainability knowledge across the organization.
