Senior Scientific Manager (Biomedical Research)

Job summary

The role involves working within the Biomedical Research department to evaluate, develop, implement, and execute new grant initiatives in the field of biomedical research. The position requires collaboration with colleagues and external partners to manage funding programs and contribute to strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Significant research experience as a postdoc, assistant or associate professor, or similar level in regenerative medicine, stem cell biology, or cell therapy development.
• PhD in fundamental and/or translational molecular biology or biomedical research.
• Experience managing research projects.
• Strong oral presentation skills for diverse audiences.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage new funding programs in open competition.
• Evaluate existing funding programs and research centers.
• Stay updated in biomedical research fields, analyze applications, and participate in conferences.
• Contribute to the development of large strategic funding initiatives.
• Utilize scientific and project management knowledge in program design.
• Collaborate with external key opinion leaders and partners.
• Prepare reports and recommendations clearly and professionally.

Skills

• Experience in international research environments and collaborations.
• Knowledge of the European regenerative medicine ecosystem and cell therapy development.
• Familiarity with interdisciplinary research and project management tools.

Education

• PhD in relevant field.
