Job summary

This internship focuses on developing advanced solutions for large-scale data storage and search systems within the cybersecurity sector. The role involves working on a critical project that enhances the resilience and availability of a significant event data system.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a PhD program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or expecting to graduate in 2027.
  • Experience with a JVM-based programming language or similar.
  • Genuine interest in distributed systems and their behavior in production environments.
  • Availability for 3 months of full-time work in Aarhus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a research project from initial experimentation to a working prototype with real production impact.
  • Collaborate with a team of PhDs and engineers to develop new features and enhance the scalability of LogScale.
  • Contribute to solving complex problems in large-scale search and data storage.
  • Continuously learn from colleagues and through hands-on experience in a complex codebase.

Skills

  • Familiarity with programming in Go is a plus.
  • Experience with commercial cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is advantageous.

Education

  • Enrollment in a relevant PhD program is required.

Tools

  • Experience with JVM-based programming languages and familiarity with large codebases is essential.
