Senior Reliability Engineer (Cybersecurity, Hybrid)

Job summary

This role focuses on enhancing the reliability and scalability of a large-scale security information and event management (SIEM) platform, ensuring continuous availability of security-relevant data for automated detection and response. The position involves working with complex distributed systems and requires a deep understanding of observability and incident response.

Qualifications

• Over 10 years of experience in software engineering, site reliability engineering, or platform engineering, particularly with large-scale distributed systems.
• Proficiency in at least one systems programming language (Go, Java, Rust, or C++) and one scripting language (Python, Bash).
• Strong background in end-to-end observability, including building monitoring pipelines and defining SLIs/SLOs.
• Experience diagnosing and resolving complex incidents across multiple components.
• Familiarity with capacity planning and scaling for large infrastructure systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain monitoring and synthetic test suites for the NG-SIEM pipeline.
• Engineer scaling solutions to manage resources across dependent components effectively.
• Serve as a subject matter expert during platform-wide incidents, coordinating incident responses.
• Develop capacity forecasting models and track cost drivers across the platform.
• Automate standard operating procedures to improve response times and system resilience.
• Collaborate with various teams to manage SLO breaches and drive reliability efforts.

Education

• Relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

• Experience with streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka), infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment practices.
