Senior Quality Engineer (Denmark)

Job summary

This role involves embedding quality throughout the software development lifecycle, working closely with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to enhance testing strategies and quality initiatives for cloud-based applications.

Qualifications

• Over 5 years of experience in Quality Engineering or Software Quality Assurance within cross-functional product teams.
• Proven experience with complex software systems, including APIs and cloud-based platforms.
• Strong understanding of various testing methodologies including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead quality strategies within product squads, aligning testing approaches with business objectives and product risks.
• Collaborate with teams during planning and design phases to ensure clear and measurable requirements.
• Promote effective testing practices and support automated testing implementation across multiple layers.
• Establish scalable testing frameworks and quality standards for long-term maintainability.
• Conduct exploratory testing in high-risk areas to identify issues and validate product behavior.
• Drive adoption of quality tools and CI/CD best practices to enhance software reliability.
• Provide visibility into product quality by identifying risks and communicating trade-offs to stakeholders.

Skills

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence various audiences.
• Strong analytical thinking and judgment in balancing product quality and delivery speed.
• Experience with modern testing frameworks and tools such as Playwright, Cypress, or Postman is advantageous.

Education

• Familiarity with programming or scripting languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python is desirable.

Tools

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and continuous delivery practices in agile environments.
