Senior Project Manager (Research, On-site)

Job summary

This role involves leading a European research project focused on AI-based hearing technology, coordinating a multidisciplinary consortium to develop innovative hearing solutions for smart glasses.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing EU-funded research projects, preferably under Horizon Europe.
• Strong expertise in project governance, financial coordination, and compliance with EU regulations.
• Ability to work with large, international teams and manage complex projects.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills in English.
• Master’s degree required.

Responsibilities

• Lead project governance structures and ensure effective communication across the consortium.
• Act as the primary contact with the European Commission, ensuring compliance with Horizon Europe requirements.
• Manage Grant and Consortium Agreements, ensuring partner compliance with obligations.
• Oversee the preparation and submission of project deliverables and financial statements.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and coordinate corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain risk management and ethics procedures.
• Coordinate the External Expert Advisory Board and support strategic alignment.
• Ensure compliance with data management and intellectual property regulations.
• Lead dissemination and communication activities related to project results.

Skills

• Strong analytical and structured approach to project management.
• Proactive and capable of operating independently in a complex environment.
• Experience in AI, digital health, or advanced sensing technologies is advantageous.

Education

• Master’s degree required.
