Job summary

The role involves leading the development of a next-generation checkout and Point-of-Sale (POS) platform for a global retail network, focusing on enhancing customer shopping experiences. This position is pivotal in defining the vision, strategy, and delivery of the checkout platform across various regions.

Qualifications

• Over 7 years of product management experience, particularly with high-scale platforms or transactional systems.
• Strong background in POS systems, checkout processes, or payment ecosystems within retail or similar sectors.
• Proven experience in building or modernizing platforms in enterprise settings.
• Experience managing multi-region or global product rollouts.
• Technical knowledge of POS architecture, payments, APIs, and backend system integration.
• Ability to navigate complex organizational structures and align diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent strategic thinking, prioritization, and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Define the long-term vision for the checkout and POS ecosystem, ensuring seamless transaction experiences.
• Develop a multi-year roadmap for various checkout models, including in-store and self-checkout.
• Manage the full lifecycle of the POS platform from discovery to continuous optimization.
• Lead the design and delivery of core capabilities such as transaction processing and loyalty integration.
• Collaborate with operations for a multi-region rollout strategy, ensuring both global standards and regional adaptability.
• Serve as a liaison across various business units to ensure a cohesive checkout experience.
• Champion a customer-first approach in designing checkout experiences.
