Senior Product Manager (Remote)

Job summary

This role involves leading the strategy and execution of benefits infrastructure, focusing on integrations and unification across various platforms. The position is fully remote and requires a high level of autonomy, reporting to Product leadership.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a product manager managing complex third-party integrations (API and file/EDI-based).
• A provider-agnostic mindset, anticipating customer needs without enforcing fixed partnerships.
• Proficiency in Cursor and/or Claude Code, capable of building, debugging, and shipping functional code/prototypes.
• Ability to design for both systems and users, focusing on compliance and accuracy in pay runs.
• Strong judgment for making strategic and tactical decisions under pressure.
• Excellent asynchronous written communication skills for cross-functional alignment.
• Bonus: Experience in negotiating or managing commercial partnerships and familiarity with benefits, HR technology, payroll, insurance technology, or fintech.

Responsibilities

• Own the benefits infrastructure strategy, focusing on integrations and long-term unification.
• Drive the roadmap for connecting to carriers, third-party administrators, and customers' HR systems.
• Transition from fragmented benefits tooling to a unified administration platform and consistent experience.
• Break down strategy into a clear roadmap for engineering and operations, ensuring alignment with compliance and customer retention.
• Lead complex cross-functional integration delivery, including migrating benefit costs and setting up retirement plan administration.
• Manage test planning, validation, and go-live readiness for migrations, collaborating closely with engineering teams.
• Oversee the process for activating new countries and partners, from requirements to rollout.

Skills

• Strong technical fluency in data mapping and integration logic.
• Ability to communicate effectively with engineering teams regarding technical specifications.

Education

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in product management or related fields.

Tools

• Familiarity with API design and integration tools.
