Project Manager (Facilities Management, Life Sciences)

Job summary

The Project Manager is tasked with leading workplace transformation projects and optimizing facility operations specifically for life sciences clients. This role involves managing complex projects to enhance workplace efficiency and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Facilities Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of project management experience in facilities management or corporate real estate.
• At least 3 years of experience in life sciences, pharmaceutical, or biotech environments.
• PMP, LEED AP, or equivalent certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the delivery of workplace projects, including space optimization and facility reconfigurations.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, cGMP, and biosafety regulations during project execution.
• Serve as the main contact for client leadership, translating strategic objectives into actionable plans.
• Analyze workplace utilization data to identify optimization opportunities.
• Lead change management efforts to facilitate smooth transitions during workplace transformations.
• Manage vendor relationships and coordinate logistics for installations and relocations.
• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate workplace technology solutions.

Skills

• Deep understanding of life sciences facility requirements and laboratory design.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools such as MS Project and Asana.
• Strong financial acumen for budget development and cost tracking.
• Exceptional communication skills and problem-solving capabilities.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required.

Tools

• Familiarity with project management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, Asana) and CAFM/IWMS platforms.
