Senior Procurement Manager (On-site, Billund)

Job summary

The role involves leading the procurement strategy for High Bay Warehouse (HBW) and automated logistics, focusing on end-to-end automation across material handling and processing. The position is critical for scaling automated logistics within a global manufacturing network.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in leading global procurement categories with significant strategic importance and complexity.
• Minimum of 10 years in senior procurement, supply chain, engineering, or technology-enabled roles.
• Experience in automated logistics, warehouse automation, and capital equipment procurement.
• Strong partnership skills with technical and operational stakeholders.
• Ability to manage strategic suppliers and executive-level relationships in high-risk environments.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Flexibility to travel up to 30–50 days a year.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the global procurement strategy for HBW and automated logistics.
• Collaborate with engineering, Digital/IT, and manufacturing teams on strategic automation projects.
• Manage a growing spend portfolio, ensuring value delivery and risk mitigation.
• Create long-term category and supplier strategies for automated logistics technologies.
• Drive innovation with suppliers to enhance automation and resilience.
• Lead negotiations and manage supplier relationships to secure performance and competitiveness.
• Provide leadership across global and local procurement resources.
• Influence decision-making at senior management levels regarding technology and supplier development.

Skills

• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders in matrixed organizations.

Education

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in procurement or supply chain management.

Tools

• Familiarity with procurement and supply chain management software and tools.
