Senior Platform Engineer

Job summary

The role involves designing and building a GenAI platform that supports the development of LLM-powered applications. The Senior Platform Engineer will focus on creating a reliable infrastructure and services that facilitate self-service access to LLM capabilities while ensuring seamless integration with a centralized data platform.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in platform or backend engineering
• Proven experience in building scalable systems and internal platforms
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong understanding of CI/CD practices, observability, and system reliability
• Experience in designing services aimed at developers
• Interest in enabling others to utilize GenAI through platform capabilities

Responsibilities

• Design and construct the platform layer for GenAI, including APIs and shared infrastructure
• Enable self-service access to LLM capabilities through well-defined interfaces
• Develop reusable platform components such as service templates and SDKs
• Ensure platform reliability through monitoring and operational best practices
• Implement access control, rate limiting, and cost management
• Optimize platform performance and scalability
• Integrate the GenAI platform with a centralized data platform for secure data access
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure interoperability
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
• Contribute to platform standards and documentation

Skills

• Extensive experience in platform or backend engineering
• Proficiency in building scalable systems
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools
• Understanding of CI/CD and system reliability principles

Education

• Relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
