Senior Operations Research Scientist (Copenhagen)

Job summary

The role involves researching and developing Operations Research solutions to optimize business processes using modern technology. The position is based in Copenhagen and focuses on creating impactful decision support applications for various business areas.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in operations research, computer science, software engineering, applied mathematics, or related fields.
• Proficiency in optimization-based mathematical modeling and solving large-scale optimization problems.
• Strong experience in Python programming.
• Familiarity with optimization solvers such as Gurobi, CPLEX, SCIP, or similar tools.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable tasks.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Effective in managing multiple priorities and conflicting requests.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business area owners to identify challenges and convert them into mathematical optimization problems.
• Design and develop custom optimization-based decision support applications.
• Solve large-scale mathematical optimization problems efficiently.
• Work with advanced data teams to implement solutions for both real-time and strategic applications.
• Document optimization applications in line with business frameworks.
