Senior Mechanical Engineer (Remote, Bagsværd)

Job summary

The position involves developing and enhancing mechanical components and systems for smart, connected products in challenging environments. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure mechanical designs align with overall product architecture, focusing on both existing products and new developments.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of experience in mechanical product development
• Strong background in mechanical system design, tolerancing, materials, and manufacturability
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD tools
• Familiarity with root-cause analysis methods such as 5 Whys, 8D, etc.
• Experience with structured product development models like Stage-Gate
• Knowledge of DFM/DFA principles and supplier management
• Professional proficiency in English

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve mechanical components, assemblies, and product designs
• Drive mechanical troubleshooting and structured root-cause analysis
• Contribute to new product development from concept through industrialization
• Work with Stage-Gate processes, including validation, testing, and release activities
• Strengthen design review practices and documentation quality
• Support Engineering Change processes and controlled releases
• Collaborate closely with production colleagues and external suppliers

Skills

• Hands-on mechanical design and structured problem-solving
• Ability to turn technical findings into manufacturable solutions

Education

• Relevant engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

Tools

• SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software
• Familiarity with PDM/PLM systems and ISO 9001 standards is advantageous
