Job summary

This role involves leading a team within the Programs & Projects Centre of Excellence, focusing on complex, cross-domain initiatives in Digital and Technology. The Senior Manager will share leadership responsibilities, ensuring team success and development while also managing external project management resources.

Qualifications

  • Over 7 years of experience in project and program management, particularly with complex initiatives.
  • Proven leadership experience managing a team of project management professionals.
  • Hands-on experience leading complex projects or programs.
  • Experience with managing external resources or vendors, including recruitment and onboarding.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools, including agile and traditional approaches.
  • Relevant certifications in project management (e.g., MSP, PMP, PRINCE2) are advantageous.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and resource constraints.
  • Interest in continuous improvement and sustainable project management practices.
  • Understanding of technology and its delivery disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Co-lead the Programs & Projects CoE, scaling the team and its operations.
  • Manage, coach, and mentor a team of 4–6 project management professionals.
  • Assign project management professionals to initiatives based on their skills and experience.
  • Personally lead cross-cutting projects, ensuring alignment and stakeholder engagement.
  • Oversee the recruitment and onboarding of external project managers, ensuring they meet delivery standards.
  • Track performance and value delivered by external resources, addressing any issues.
  • Identify opportunities for AI integration in project management practices.
  • Ensure alignment of project practices with broader delivery processes.
  • Promote consistent project management practices and knowledge sharing within the team.
