Senior Legal Counsel (Remote)

Job summary

This role involves providing legal support and guidance within a rapidly growing HR-tech company, focusing on labor and employment law across multiple jurisdictions. The Senior Legal Counsel will be part of the Legal Core Team, ensuring efficient management of legal processes and mentoring junior team members.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with extensive experience in legal practice, particularly in labor and employment law.
• Strong interest in working for a tech-scaleup, especially in HR-tech.
• Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Proven ability to work independently and lead legal projects.
• Experience in mentoring junior legal professionals is essential.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Sales and Customer Experience teams, to manage client expectations.
• Identify areas for improvement and develop template contracts, playbooks, and standard operating procedures.
• Conduct legal research on new products and laws, assessing risks and opportunities.
• Drive enhancements in the legal function, implementing best practices and innovative solutions.
• Mentor and support junior legal team members, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Manage relationships with Local Counsel and oversee litigations when necessary.

Skills

• Creative legal thinker with the ability to propose innovative solutions.
• Proficient in using communication and task management tools such as Slack, Notion, and ZenDesk.

Education

• Juris Doctor or equivalent legal qualification.

Tools

• Familiarity with contract management systems and documentation sources.
