Senior HSSE Engineer (Environmental Health and Safety, Esbjerg)

Job summary

This role provides comprehensive leadership and operational support in Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) across facilities and field activities in Europe and Central Asia. The position involves ensuring safe and compliant work environments, developing HSSE policies, and promoting employee wellbeing.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Health, Safety, Security, or Environmental discipline (preferred)
• Diploma in a health and safety-related discipline
• NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)
• NEBOSH Technical Certificate in Oil & Gas Operational Safety (or equivalent)
• Lead Auditor qualification (ISO preferred)
• Membership in a recognized HSSE professional body

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day HSSE matters within the assigned district
• Provide expert HSSE advice to management
• Evaluate and recommend improvements to existing HSSE policies
• Oversee compliance with travel safety and security requirements
• Coordinate the District Emergency Management Team
• Conduct internal HSSE audits and training
• Support HSSE program initiatives and incident investigations
• Travel to customer sites for HSSE assessments

Skills

• Effective written, oral, and presentation skills
• Strong computer skills
• Additional language skills: English (essential), German (preferred)

• B.S. degree in a relevant discipline preferred
