Senior Graph Engineer (Data Engineering, Copenhagen)

Job summary

This role focuses on enhancing data capabilities through graph data and knowledge representation, contributing to the Open Intelligence initiative. The Senior Graph Engineer will design, build, and maintain graph models and data pipelines to support a global media ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Over 6 years of experience in data engineering, particularly with graph databases and solutions.
• Strong understanding of adtech and martech data, with the ability to model complex domains as graphs.
• Proficient in graph modeling, querying (e.g., Cypher, GQL, Gremlin), and performance optimization at scale.
• Experience with data wrangling and transformation using SQL, Python, or Scala.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement graph schemas and data models reflecting relationships in marketing and adtech.
• Maintain temporal and event-driven graph models to track evolving relationships.
• Build and manage data ingestion pipelines, ensuring reliability and scalability.
• Collaborate with product teams to integrate new data sources and enhance graph models.
• Guide regional teams in best practices for graph data onboarding and consistency.
• Establish data governance and quality frameworks for accurate graph data.

Skills

• Exceptional communication skills to convey complex graph concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to think holistically about data architecture and system interdependencies.
• Familiarity with tools like Graphwise GraphDB and Neo4J is advantageous.

Education

• Relevant degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Tools

• Experience with Scala/Spark for data ingestion, and familiarity with graph databases and data governance tools.
