Senior Electrical Engineer

Job summary

The role involves driving energy solutions through hands-on work with MV/LV systems, leading upgrades, troubleshooting complex challenges, and ensuring compliance from engineering design to onsite implementation across various power plants globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Marine Engineering with an electrical background.
• Strong experience with MV/LV systems, including generators, transformers, switchgear, protection systems, UPS, and LV installations.
• Practical understanding of electrical installations in power plants or similar technical environments.
• Hands-on experience with troubleshooting, testing, commissioning (FAT/SAT), and field engineering in live facilities.
• Ability to take ownership of projects from concept to on-site implementation.
• Experience with technical documentation and compliance with standards.
• Proven collaboration skills with colleagues, suppliers, and OEMs.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and engineering of electrical systems and installations for projects and operating plants.
• Maintain and update electrical design documentation and technical records.
• Define and verify technical specifications for procurement of electrical equipment.
• Oversee supplier documentation and ensure compliance with standards.
• Provide troubleshooting and technical guidance for operating plants.
• Conduct electrical surveys, inspections, and condition assessments.
• Lead and participate in FAT, SAT, and on-site testing.
• Provide technical input to sales activities and project proposals.

Skills

• Strong initiative and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to contribute technical input to tender processes and early project proposals.

Tools

• Experience with BESS, PV systems, or hybrid energy systems is a bonus.
• Familiarity with COMOS plant engineering software is advantageous.
