About the role

Job summary

The role involves establishing a Strategic Programme Management capability within the Product Development organization of a large fintech company. The Senior Director will report to the VP of Strategy & Transformation and will be responsible for building the operating model, standards, and tools necessary for effective programme management.

Qualifications

  • Over 12 years of experience in transformation, programme leadership, strategy, or chief-of-staff roles, preferably in a large technology or fintech environment.
  • Proven track record of building or scaling programme management capabilities.
  • Hands-on experience in delivering complex, cross-functional strategic initiatives with senior stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong leadership skills with a history of attracting and developing high-caliber talent.
  • Experience in designing governance and operating models that are utilized by senior leaders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of producing executive materials and facilitating discussions.
  • Degree in business, economics, engineering, or a related field; MBA or equivalent is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the Strategic Programme Management capability from the ground up, including operating models and standards.
  • Hire and mentor a team of 2 to 3 programme/project managers.
  • Lead high-impact, cross-functional initiatives with accountability for outcomes and delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with the VP of Strategy & Transformation on the overall strategy and execution agenda.
  • Establish governance structures for strategic programmes, ensuring clear ownership and progress reporting.
  • Coordinate with Product Management, Platform, and Application Engineering to resolve cross-functional trade-offs.
  • Contribute to the PD Management System for transparency and reporting.
  • Partner with Change & Organisational Development for programmes requiring shifts in organizational behavior.
  • Represent programme progress and risks in senior leadership forums.
