Senior Director of Fraud & Investigation (Remote)

Job summary

The role involves leading the strategy and operations for fraud detection and investigations to protect platform integrity against fraudulent activities. The position requires a proactive approach to designing systems that enhance trust while managing risks associated with emerging threats.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of experience in fraud, trust & safety, or investigations within a digital environment.
• Proven leadership in managing fraud or trust teams, overseeing both strategy and operations.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement a comprehensive fraud and abuse strategy, including risk measurement and executive reporting.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams to create scalable detection systems that minimize user friction.
• Lead complex investigations and establish standards for enforcement actions against organized fraud.
• Build efficient workflows and case management systems to improve operational performance.
• Work with Legal, Policy, and Communications teams to communicate fraud issues to senior stakeholders.
• Represent the organization externally on platform trust matters and influence industry discussions.
• Develop an intelligence function to proactively address abuse vectors and ensure governance.
• Lead and inspire a global team of analysts and specialists, fostering a unified culture.
