Senior Director, Global Sourcing & Procurement

Job summary

This role involves leading the global sourcing and procurement strategy for a high-growth organization in the biologics and advanced therapies sector. The position focuses on building a world-class procurement function that ensures compliance and reliability in supply chains while driving cost optimization and sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field.
• 12+ years of progressive procurement/sourcing experience, including 5+ years in leadership roles across multi-site or global teams.
• Experience in pharmaceutical/biotech/CDMO environments under cGMP/GxP regulations.
• Proven track record in delivering total cost of ownership savings and supply assurance.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience with various contracting types.
• Proficiency in Source-to-Pay platforms and ERP systems.
• Ability to travel globally as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a global sourcing and procurement strategy for direct materials.
• Manage cross-functional sourcing events and complex negotiations.
• Oversee a robust supplier relationship management program.
• Ensure readiness for tech transfers and new product introductions.
• Establish procurement policies and internal controls aligned with regulatory standards.
• Lead a high-performing global team with clear objectives and development plans.
• Create and manage a pipeline of cost improvement initiatives.
• Integrate sustainability and supplier diversity goals into procurement strategies.
