Senior Director, Global Sourcing & Procurement

Job summary

This role involves leading the global sourcing and procurement strategy for a high-growth organization in the biologics and advanced therapies sector. The position focuses on building a robust procurement function that ensures compliance and efficiency in supply chain operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field.
• Over 12 years of progressive experience in procurement/sourcing, with at least 5 years in leadership roles managing multi-site or global teams.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or CDMO environments under cGMP/GxP regulations.
• Proven track record of delivering total cost of ownership savings and supply assurance.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience with contracts and agreements.
• Proficiency in Source-to-Pay platforms and ERP systems.
• Willingness to travel globally as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a global sourcing and procurement strategy aligned with product lifecycles.
• Manage cross-functional sourcing events and complex negotiations.
• Establish and oversee a supplier relationship management program.
• Ensure readiness for tech transfers and new product introductions.
• Create and maintain procurement policies and internal controls.
• Lead a high-performing global team with clear objectives and KPIs.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance metrics.

Education
