Senior Director, Global Sourcing & Procurement

Job summary

This role involves leading the global sourcing and procurement strategy for a high-growth organization in the biologics and advanced therapies sector. The Senior Director will be responsible for architecting a world-class procurement function that ensures compliance and reliability in supply chain operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field.
• Over 12 years of progressive experience in procurement/sourcing, including at least 5 years in leadership roles managing multi-site or global teams.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or CDMO environments under cGMP/GxP regulations.
• Proven track record in delivering total cost of ownership savings and supply assurance.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience with contracts in a manufacturing context.
• Proficiency in Source-to-Pay platforms and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a global sourcing and procurement strategy aligned with product lifecycles.
• Lead cross-functional sourcing events and complex negotiations.
• Establish a robust Supplier Relationship Management program with performance metrics.
• Ensure readiness for tech transfers and new product introductions.
• Create procurement policies and internal controls compliant with regulatory standards.
• Build and manage a high-performing global team with clear objectives and KPIs.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance.
