Senior Director, Drug Development Lead (Remote)

Job summary

This role is responsible for leading Drug Development Program Leadership services, overseeing the delivery of complex pharmaceutical and biotechnology development programs across all stages. The position involves managing integrated cross-functional teams and providing strategic advice on drug development strategies, portfolio governance, and program execution.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (MS, PhD, PharmD, MD, MBA, or equivalent) or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• 15-20+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or CRO drug development with a global focus, including senior strategic and operational leadership roles.
• Experience leading complex drug development programs across multiple therapeutic areas.
• Proven track record in managing integrated cross-functional development teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the successful delivery of drug development programs, ensuring alignment of scope, timelines, budgets, and quality expectations.
• Provide strategic leadership to cross-functional teams in clinical development, regulatory affairs, and other key functions.
• Develop integrated drug development strategies, including Target Product Profiles and Clinical Development Plans.
• Oversee program governance activities and support innovative compound development.
• Ensure high-quality deliverables that meet scientific and operational standards.
• Lead and develop a high-performing organization through recruitment, coaching, and performance management.
