Senior Data Scientist

Job summary

This role focuses on transforming manufacturing and engineering data into actionable insights to enhance product quality. The Senior Data Scientist will work within the Data & Automation team under Advanced Engineering, primarily at the Billund site, to develop predictive data systems, drive quality assurance, and improve production workflows.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in statistical modeling and data analysis.
• Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and illustration.
• Proficient in programming languages such as Python and R.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI.
• Familiarity with cloud services, particularly Microsoft Azure, and data engineering platforms like Databricks.
• Knowledge of ETL processes and handling complex data from various sources.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with GitHub and constructing Machine Learning models.
• Proficient in English.

Responsibilities

• Develop predictive models for process quality and defect forecasting using statistical analysis and machine learning techniques.
• Implement quality control algorithms and anomaly detection methods to monitor operations.
• Collaborate with engineers to optimize processes based on data insights.
• Communicate findings effectively through data visualization and reports.
• Prepare and clean data for analysis, ensuring proper dimensional reduction.
• Conduct root cause analysis of process issues using historical data.
• Support capability building in data science within the organization.
• Assist in setting up data extraction methods and identifying data weaknesses.
