Insights Project Lead

Job summary

This role involves leading insights projects that drive strategic decision-making within a medical technology company. The Insights Project Lead will utilize applied data science to translate data into actionable business strategies, ensuring high-quality research and effective communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Over 7 years of experience in insights projects for senior stakeholders, with a focus on commercial and strategic impact.
• Familiarity with new research methodologies, including those enabled by technology such as AI.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end insights projects, from scoping to execution, ensuring relevance and quality of research.
• Manage stakeholder communication and project delivery within scope, time, and budget.
• Conduct primary research and manage third-party research agencies for specific projects.
• Co-develop the Insights department's methodologies and ways of working to enhance excellence.
• Expect approximately 10-20 travel days per year for fieldwork and conferences.

Skills

• Proficiency in applied data science research, including data mining and machine learning methods.
• Strong project management skills, including scope, time, and budget management.
• Business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.

Education

• Preferred master's degree in applied data science or related fields; hands-on experience is prioritized.
• A Ph.D. is advantageous but not required.

Tools

• Experience with data sources such as Salesforce and various social media platforms; Python is the primary programming language used, with data accessed via the Databricks platform.
