Senior Cost Management Lead (Construction, Esbjerg)

Job summary

The role involves leading commercial and cost management activities for data center construction projects in the Esbjerg region. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered within scope, budget, and timelines while fostering an inclusive work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Leadership experience in construction projects.
• Proven experience in cost management for data center construction.
• Familiarity with commercial delivery during the construction phase, including contractor procurement and change management.
• Experience with projects having individual build values exceeding $500M.
• Comprehensive understanding of the construction lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost management activities throughout the project lifecycle, partnering with design, construction, finance, and other stakeholders.
• Develop and manage project cost plans, estimates, and budgets, providing accurate forecasting and commercial insights.
• Oversee contract and financial administration, ensuring financial protection for the organization.
• Manage change control and commercial risk, including evaluating change orders and resolving disputes.
• Provide oversight of procurement activities, ensuring compliance and value.
• Lead external cost management partners, ensuring high-quality support and performance management.
• Drive commercial governance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills

• Strong proficiency in Power BI and Excel for reporting and tracking.
• Excellent executive-level written communication skills.
• Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous and cross-functional environments.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
