Senior Associate (Venture Creation)

Job summary

This role involves supporting the Quantum team within a non-profit foundation focused on accelerating research and startups in quantum technologies. The Senior Associate will play a crucial role in identifying, evaluating, and nurturing early-stage startups and spinouts, facilitating their development from concept to market.

Qualifications

• MSc, MD, or PhD in a relevant field (physics, engineering, or similar)
• Over 5 years of experience in deep tech ventures, innovation ecosystems, or venture capital
• Proven track record with early-stage deep tech projects and startups
• Experience in evaluating and executing deep tech projects
• Strong understanding of research commercialization
• Established network in deep tech investment and research communities
• Project management skills with the ability to handle multiple complex projects
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken
• Strong stakeholder management abilities

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main contact for startups and spinouts, aiding in business case development and funding strategies
• Scout for new spinout opportunities in collaboration with research groups and innovation hubs
• Conduct due diligence on applications with external parties and junior staff
• Co-develop and refine program offerings
• Maintain good investor relations and support ecosystem activities
• Participate in conferences to promote Denmark as a hub for quantum technology.

Education
