SDET/QA Automation Lead (Denmark)

Job summary

This leadership position focuses on transforming quality assurance into a strategic, automation-first engineering function within a complex Linux-based product ecosystem. The role combines hands-on technical leadership with organizational transformation, aiming to elevate tooling and team maturity while defining the long-term QA vision.

Qualifications

• Over 5 years of experience in test automation engineering, with at least 2 years in a QA leadership role managing a team of 5 or more engineers.
• Strong expertise in Linux-based product testing environments, including RPM and systemd.
• Proven track record of improving test reliability and automation coverage in production systems.
• Advanced Python programming skills and experience with large-scale test frameworks.
• Experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines, preferably with Jenkins.
• Familiarity with integrating AI/ML capabilities into QA workflows.
• Strong strategic thinking and data-driven mindset.
• Excellent leadership skills focused on team development.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute a multi-quarter quality engineering roadmap, including key product quality metrics and test strategy.
• Optimize test coverage by assessing risk and system criticality.
• Own and evolve test infrastructure and QA tooling for high reliability and efficiency.
• Lead the transformation of QA practices towards AI-assisted workflows.
• Mentor a team of SDETs to enhance their roles as product quality engineers.
• Redesign operational processes to improve sustainability and accountability.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Skills

Education

• Relevant degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred.
