Safety Advisor

Job summary

The Safety Advisor will play a crucial role in ensuring effective risk control measures are in place and monitored within a large-scale construction environment. This position involves active participation in health and safety management, safety auditing, and the development of safety strategies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Significant safety experience in large-scale construction projects.
• Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant construction or safety discipline.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative team setting.

Responsibilities

• Implement, assess, and monitor risk control measures.
• Attend key meetings to track progress and address issues collaboratively.
• Serve as a visible safety leader on-site, managing day-to-day health and safety operations.
• Develop and execute the safety strategy and procedures for projects, engaging all partners.
• Ensure contractors maintain exemplary safety practices and procedures.
• Oversee health and safety management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001).
• Collaborate in the assessment of safety incidents, ensuring corrective actions are taken.
• Provide updates to key partners on safety management aspects of the project.
