Job summary

The role involves managing Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) initiatives within projects to ensure compliance and promote a culture of safety and sustainability. The position requires collaboration with various teams and external stakeholders to implement EHS standards and monitor compliance.

Qualifications

• University degree in a relevant discipline
• Health & Safety qualification
• 5–8 years of professional experience, including 3+ years in EHS roles and projects
• Knowledge of ISO14001 and ISO45001 standards
• Familiarity with local legal EHS requirements
• EHS auditor certification (desirable)
• Experience in the railway industry (desirable)
• Strong teamwork and leadership skills
• Analytical mindset focused on continuous improvement
• Proficiency in computer tools and systems

Responsibilities

• Conduct EHS risk assessments and define control measures for projects
• Prepare, implement, and maintain emergency plans at the project level
• Oversee sub-contractor activities for EHS compliance
• Coach and assess EHS teams, supporting project staffing and execution
• Deploy EHS standards and tools, including the Zero Deviation Plan (AZDP)
• Monitor compliance with legal, regulatory, and company EHS requirements
• Lead accident prevention efforts and investigate incidents
• Prepare and submit monthly EHS reports ensuring data quality
• Build and implement EHS communication and training plans
• Conduct internal EHS audits and manage improvement plans
• Collaborate on the preparation and implementation of audits
