Health & Safety Advisor (Construction, Denmark)

Job summary

This role involves leading the implementation of a robust health, safety, and environmental culture across construction sites in Denmark. The Health & Safety Advisor will provide expert advice, conduct audits, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in the construction industry
• Minimum 3 years as a health and safety professional
• Technical membership of IOSH (Tech IOSH)
• NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent
• NVQ Level 4 or EQF Level 3 in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent
• Internal Auditor qualification
• Training in incident investigation
• Local PD/CDM and PSDP/PSCS training
• Awareness of lifting operations including BS7121 and IS361
• Temporary works awareness including understanding of the TWC role
• Training in temporary works supervision
• Additional professional development within occupational health, environment, or behavioral safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and provide industry-leading advice to project stakeholders
• Conduct audits and inspections of workplaces
• Attend sites following incidents and assist with investigations
• Liaise with enforcement authorities during site investigations
• Assist in preparing Health and Safety reports
• Alert management to any periods of inadequate safety cover
• Attend project start-up and supply chain meetings as required
• Deliver health and safety training to site staff
• Stay informed on legislative changes and best practices
