Job summary

The role involves overseeing health and safety management for a significant construction project in Denmark, specifically a Mission Critical Data Center. The manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations and leading safety initiatives on-site.

Qualifications

  • Over 8 years of experience in health and safety management on major construction projects
  • Professional HSE qualifications such as NEBOSH Diploma, IOSH, or CMIOSH
  • In-depth knowledge of Danish and EU safety legislation and standards
  • Experience with large-scale construction projects valued over €100M
  • Preferred background in data center or mission-critical facility projects
  • Strong understanding of construction hazards and risk management principles
  • Proven experience in incident investigation and regulatory compliance
  • Familiarity with data center construction safety requirements
  • Advanced skills in risk assessment and safety management
  • Experience in delivering training and promoting behavioral safety
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of local languages is a plus
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive health, safety, and environmental (HSE) management systems
  • Ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations and standards
  • Lead safety inductions, training programs, and toolbox talks
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments
  • Manage incident investigations, reporting, and corrective actions
  • Oversee permit-to-work systems and controls for high-risk activities
  • Coordinate with contractors regarding HSE performance and compliance
  • Manage environmental aspects, waste management, and sustainability efforts
  • Lead emergency response planning and crisis management procedures
  • Prepare HSE reports, key performance indicators (KPIs), and regulatory submissions
  • Interface with regulatory authorities and client HSE representatives
  • Manage the HSE team and coordinate with site management
