Job summary

This role involves working as a Research Scientist in the Fungal Strain Development team, focusing on hands-on research with fungal strains and experimental data to support internal projects. The position is designed for a recent MSc graduate seeking practical experience in industrial biotechnology.

Qualifications

• MSc in Chemical Engineering, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field
• Understanding of cell factories and cell biology processes
• Practical laboratory experience with filamentous fungi or other eukaryotic systems
• Data-driven mindset for guiding experimental decisions
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team

Responsibilities

• Prepare and handle samples for OMICs analyses in daily lab work
• Construct fungal strains and strain libraries for experimental studies
• Evaluate strain performance through biochemical assays
• Analyze, interpret, and present experimental data to inform future experiments

Skills

• Experience with OMICs data is a plus
• Basic scripting skills in Python and/or R are advantageous
• Curiosity and adaptability in a fast-paced research environment

Education

• Required: MSc in relevant scientific discipline
