R&D Project Leader (Industrial Equipment, Onsite)

Job summary

Lead cross-functional R&D projects focused on developing energy-efficient ventilation solutions for commercial and industrial applications. Ensure projects are executed on schedule, within budget, and meet technical specifications.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in project management within R&D or product development for industrial equipment, HVAC, or related mechanical/electrical systems.
• Technical background in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, or a related field with experience in manufacturable design.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project scope, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with Engineering, Product, and Manufacturing.
• Manage technical requirements, risk assessments, design reviews, and validation activities.
• Coordinate with Product Management, Operations, Procurement, and After-sales for manufacturability and compliance.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and partners, handling technical specifications and issue resolution.
• Ensure proper engineering documentation and change management processes are followed.
• Utilize DFMEA for continuous improvement in cost, reliability, and development cycles.
• Maintain project plans, risk registers, and status reports, communicating updates to stakeholders.

Skills

• Data-driven problem-solving mindset with a focus on quality and risk mitigation.
• Experience with product development tools such as CAD, DFMEA, and verification processes.

Education

• Relevant technical degree in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, or equivalent.
