Job summary

This role involves supporting photonics characterization efforts and contributing to the development and validation of photonic devices and systems within a pioneering quantum computing environment. The position requires hands-on work with optical setups and advanced characterization tools, focusing on measurement protocols and performance metrics extraction.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Physics, Engineering, Quantum Information Science, Nanoscience, or a related field.
  • Strong experimental background in optics or photonics.
  • Hands-on experience with lasers, optical setups, and laboratory instrumentation.
  • Experience with automation, data acquisition, and data logging in Python.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct optical microscopy measurements on various material platforms, photonic devices, and chips.
  • Develop, refine, and implement protocols for precise and repeatable measurements.
  • Operate, maintain, and calibrate optical measurement systems to ensure stable and reliable performance.
  • Support data acquisition, automation, and extraction of key device performance metrics.
