Job summary

This role involves working at the intersection of physics and engineering to support the development and optimization of a topological quantum computer. The engineer will analyze subsystem performance, identify risks, and inform strategic decisions through data-driven insights.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Physics, Engineering, or a related field, or a Bachelor's Degree with relevant industry experience.
  • Proficiency in large-scale data analysis, statistical modeling, and visualization tools such as Python, R, MATLAB, or PowerBI.
  • Experience in building and maintaining automated data pipelines and cloud-based monitoring solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with technical teams to understand subsystem requirements and operational characteristics.
  • Design and implement data pipelines for monitoring subsystem performance metrics.
  • Conduct statistical analysis to identify trends, risks, and improvement areas.
  • Document and communicate performance analysis results to stakeholders.
  • Work with software engineering teams to enhance data analysis infrastructure.
  • Identify new metrics and collaborate on developing dashboards for subsystem health.
  • Support root-cause analysis and troubleshooting through data insights.

Skills

  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision making.
  • Ability to leverage AI tools for performance modeling and task automation.
  • Collaborative mindset for interdisciplinary teamwork.

Education

  • Advanced degree in Physics, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
