Job summary

This role involves utilizing specialized knowledge in commodities to ensure that quality standards for pharmaceutical and nutrition products are consistently upheld within the organization. The position requires compliance with international regulations and guidelines, including Good Storage and Distribution Practices (GSDP) and ISO standards.

Qualifications

  • Education: Master's degree or equivalent in Pharmacy, Nutrition and Dietetics, Food Technology, or related fields.
  • Work Experience: Minimum of 5 years in Pharmaceutical, Nutrition, Quality Assurance, Supplier auditing, or related areas.
  • Language Requirements: Fluency in English is mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct selective quality inspections and testing of pharmaceutical and nutrition products upon receipt and at manufacturing locations.
  • Participate in the approval process for manufacturers of relevant products and arrange inspections as needed.
  • Manage complaints and recalls of products under supervision.
  • Organize Pre-Delivery Inspections to ensure product compliance with specifications.
  • Collaborate with Supply Division centers to implement temperature-controlled shipments.
  • Support GDP activities related to self-inspection and training.

Skills

Desirables

  • Proficient in Quality Assurance, Risk Management, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Knowledge of Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and public procurement.
  • Knowledge of another UN official language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish).
  • Experience in international collaboration and relevant certifications in QMS and GMP auditing.
  • Familiarity with operations in development and humanitarian contexts.
